BANANA BAY

Banana Bay is one of the eastern bays on the south end of Ko Racha Noi. In terms of terrain, the dive site is rather uneventful being a sandy slope with very sparse patches of coral. It thus pays to pay particular attention to objects you usually would not spot on another dive.

One of those special treats would be the sighting of a stone fish which totally blends in with the surrounding environment. It would usually be found at a coral boulder near the bottom or the sand, preferably in a cavernous spot or under a slight overhang. If you spot one, remember that the stone fish is one of the most poisonous creatures we have in Thailand.
