HIN RAAP

Ko Chang

Other than the impressive schools of snappers that danced around the reefs of this dive site, the detail that struck me most about Hin Raap were intriguing covers of what we may call ‘patch-work coral blankets’. Of course on any reef you always have different species of coral mixed, but here different types and colors of covering corals on a rock surface are marked by a white outline where they fight for space.

Very much like a blanket made from different types of fabric, stitched together with a white thread. Hin Raap is just a stone’s throw away from the T11 wreck so it is possible to offer divers the choice of either dive site during the same dive time or do one after the other without moving the boat a whole lot.
