KO YAK LEK

Ko Rang National Marine Park

Yak Lek is the smaller of two nearby islands east of Ko Rang in the marine park. As the larger one of the two was called Yak Yai (big giant), this one right here was simply coined as Yak Lek (the small giant). Many snorkel boats visit this rock daily out of Ko Chang and Ko Kood so it can get a bit busy at the surface.

On the west side you will find some successfully cultivated staghorn coral colonies. It is encouraging to see these artificial reef projects bearing fruit.
