Mooring Bay owes its name from the fact that many live-aboard ships prefer to moor here in this sheltered area overnight before heading further up north the next morning. All the more reason to also declare it the designated night dive spot of the Similans.
Perfect opportunity to screen the reef for all the sights that no day dive can offer, such as sleeping parrotfish, open coral polyps and fishes that change their color at night.
