NORTH POINT

Ko Bangu | Similans

North Point marks the northernmost point of Ko Bangu (Similans island #9) and thus also the northernmost dive site of the Similans National Park. It is usually visited before heading up further north towards Ko Bon and Ko Tachai. The Similans typical granite boulders are dispersed between a shallower stag horn reef towards the shore and a larger pinnacle out in the deep. Surprisingly, a lot of the longer rock formations are in parallel shape to the shore line.

One of these beautiful extended rock formations create a spectacular canyon in the middle of the dive site with a flat sandy bottom below and slick vertical rock walls on either side – the 5th Avenue of North Point if you like. 😉

North Point is the dive site with the highest likeliness to encounter a Napoleon Wrasse so keep your fingers crossed when visiting this awesome site.
